Elements
in Lithium Chloride and Lithium Hydroxide
by ICP-AES

Abstract
In this paper, a method has been studied
for simultaneous determination of seven impurity
elements Al , Ba , Ca , Fe , Mg , Si and
Zn in LiCl and LiOH*H2O by ICP-AES. Matrix effect from lithium
to the spectral lines of the elements determined
were investigated and corrected by the matrix
maching and background correction method. The detection limits of every element
are 0.1-9.4ng/mL, The recoveries are 92%-109%,
the relative standard deviations are less
than 7% for impurity elements content 0.0001%-0.028%.
This method is simple, rapid and accurate, and has been applied to the analysis
of sample with satisfactory results.
